(Fuswilath) 41 : 44

And if We had made It a Reading in a language other than Arabic, surely they would have asked: Why Its verses aren’t clear? What, a non-Arabic revelation for Arabs! You say: It is the Guidance and Healing for those who believe, while for those who do not believe, there is a lid in their ears, and it is blind upon them, such are just like being called from the far distance.

This verse was revealed in response to the argument of the Meccan Pagans, who questioned how they could accept that this Book is from Allah since it is in their language. They argued that if It had been revealed in any language other than Arabic, they would have said: ‘What! Is it a Reading revealed to us in a foreign language, the message of which is not clear to us?’ However, Adhikr—the Best Interpretation of the Lord’s Book—is in one’s heart language and is very clear and manifest. It is the Guidance and Healing for believers anywhere in the world. The disbelievers who have made their food rejecting Adhikr are blind and deaf towards It just like they are being called from a far place. They will be summoned into Hell prone on their faces; they are in the worst places and they are the most strayed as told in verses 25: 33-34. Just like the addressees of Messenger Muhammed in Meccah demanded, today Adhikr—the Three Time Knowledge as well as the Food, Cloth, and Sight of the human soul—is codified in three volumes in a non-Arabic language (Malayalam). Today not only to Arabs, but to any people speaking any language of any country also can’t say excuse that since the Lord has sent a Book in Arabic, they couldn’t understand the content and Message of It. So it is the duty of mankind who are deputed as vicegerents of the Lord to propagate Adhikr in different languages by taking copies and translating it into different languages. But the believer who is one in a thousand will only fulfill this mission. The presence of Malayalees in the world is more today than the Arabs who were traveling for business purposes in the olden days. See explanation 20: 124-127; 33: 72-73; 48: 6.
